On Maternity leave - BVM&S MRCVS

After graduating from Edinburgh University in 2006 I worked in mixed practice in Berkshire for 3 years. Then in 2009 I headed off to explore the world and travelled from Europe to Australia without flying, the highlight of the trip being a 27 day yacht trip from Bali to Darwin. I worked in many different small animal practices in Australia, from rural Queensland to central Melbourne, dealing with exotic diseases and helping Australian wildlife including wombats, kangaroos and a Tasmanian Devil.

I joined Moor Cottage in July 2011 as a locum Veterinary Surgeon and became a permanent member of staff two months later. Since joining Moor Cottage, I have had extra training in cardiology and specifically ultrasound scanning of hearts (echocardiography). I am also a keen surgeon and especially enjoy using our fantastic laparoscopic equipment for keyhole surgery. I returned from maternity leave in June 2016 and when I'm not at Moor Cottage I'm kept busy with my very active toddler. I have a very mischievous silver tabby British Short Haired called Millie who is always getting into serious scrapes and as a result has quite a few bit of metal scaffolding attached to her skeleton!
